The future of farming
At Elements Green, we partner with farmers and landowners across the globe to create sustainable, long-term value. By offering contracted rent agreements at sector-leading rates, we provide a stable and reliable income stream to those whose livelihoods are tied to the land.
Farmers and landowners who work with us credit us with offering a clean and simple way of safeguarding the future of their businesses. By accommodating solar and energy storage, we help fortify cash flows for generations to come, providing these businesses with greater resilience against changes in climate, weather patterns, and commodity market volatility. Ultimately, our partnerships allow landowners to participate directly in the worldwide energy transition towards a sustainable future.
Experts in energy
We bring global expertise to a local level. With over a decade of experience participating in the energy transition, we have rapidly formed a global footprint and are an established presence in the renewable energy sphere.
With a pedigree dating back to 2004, we have actively developed more than 2500MW of projects worldwide. We have a respected track record of development spanning three continents, and our team is supported by a global network of specialist partners who enable us to provide in-depth analysis, thorough development, and seamless implementation.
Locally mindful
We make time for local communities affected by the arrival of renewable energy projects. We are sensitive and respectful of their concerns and do everything we can to alleviate them. We handle every element of consultation with the local community and we aim to bring ‘net gains’ to all stakeholders, not solely minimize impact and disruption.
We are committed to thoughtful mitigation of any affects our renewable energy facilities may have on local communities. We handle every element of consultation with the community, managing the development in ways that minimise community impact, loss of amenity and disruption to daily lives.
We aim to meaningfully benefit local communities, working tirelessly to design and implement benefit schemes that bring education, employment and can offer direct financial support.

The arrival of solar and biodiversity parks and energy storage solutions does not signal the end of agricultural practice; rather, it introduces Agrivoltaics, the strategic co-location of solar PV with farming. We design our plants to support continued arable use and livestock grazing, ensuring that the land remains a productive resource for food and energy simultaneously.
Transitioning land to solar use offers a vital “rest” period from intensive arable production.
- Soil Health: By taking fields out of intensive use for 30–40 years, we eliminate the need for ploughing, pesticides, and fertilisers, allowing soil structure to recover.
- Carbon Sequestration: A 2025 study of 32 solar farms found that well-vegetated sites often have higher soil organic carbon than traditional pasture.
- Microclimate Benefits: Solar arrays create shaded environments that reduce water evaporation and protect crops from extreme weather, often extending the growing season.
- Livestock Wellbeing: Research shows that sheep effectively use panels for shelter, spending more time grazing in a natural, managed way.
We Switch On The Future by engineering layouts that prioritise the long-term health of the land.
- Elevated Layouts: Our PV arrays are elevated and spaced to ensure sunlight, rain, and nutrients reach the soil, allowing long-rooted grasses and wildflowers to flourish.
- Biodiversity Net Gain: Every project is a “biodiversity park,” incorporating wildflower meadows and ponds to stimulate local wildlife populations.
- Knowledge-Led Stewardship: Our drivers use Agrivoltaic data and industry fact-checking to ensure high-quality agricultural acreage is preserved for future generations.
- Human Connection: By maintaining agricultural ties, we ensure our projects remain integrated with the heritage and livelihoods of the local communities we serve. – too many facts Alex Kinnear-Mellor ? thoughts? it is from the approved FAQs

We make the development process simple. We manage every project from start to finish and ensure the journey is as streamlined as possible. By cutting out the jargon, we ensure that stakeholders and partners always know exactly what is happening at each stage of development.
We strive to leave local community relationships intact while supporting the long-term solvency of the businesses we work with. Through reliable, stable income that fortifies plans for the future, our partners can confidently place their trust in energy transformation.
The strength of our relationships with landowners is crucial to our operation, without the land to host our solar panels and energy storage solutions, our projects simply would not be feasible. We endeavour to make the process of collaborating with us as stress-free and simple as possible. We offer a full service, including:
- An all-encompassing approach that incorporates planning, grid, construction and operation.
- A fully managed and funded process, including legal fees for lease contracts
- Sensitive design and delivery that always recognises the concerns and welfare of the local community
- Competitive, secure, long-term rental contracts, usually 40 years or land purchase.
- Full transparency at all stages, with personal assistance and guidance only a phone call away.

The arrival of solar power to the area doesn’t mean the end to farming practices. We design our plants to encourage continued agricultural use through arable farming and the grazing of livestock beneath our solar panels. We always incorporate biodiversity improvements, such as wildflower meadows or ponds into our projects to stimulate the local wildlife population. Our solar plants can be good news for the land itself. If the land is left fallow, it’s completely free from pesticides, herbicides and fertilisers.
